Mariella

Hi, I’m Mariella! 💗 Born and raised in Berlin, I’ve always been a bit of a free spirit — after finishing school I studied for my bachelor’s degree while also spending two years working as a kindergarten teacher near Orlando, Florida. These days I call a small house by the sea in Cyprus home, where I moved to be closer to family and to soak up more sunshine (I really do need good weather to be happy — I even have a sun tattoo to prove it).

Family means everything to me. I talk to my mom every week and I’m incredibly close to my grandma too. Animals might have my heart even more than people, though — I take care of every cat I meet, and I’m definitely the person on the street stopping to say hi to someone’s dog.

When I’m not traveling (I’ve been lucky enough to explore 16 countries so far, with Indonesia next on my list!), you’ll find me baking — I actually made my mom’s wedding cake — hiking in the Austrian and Swiss mountains, snorkeling, or just enjoying a good cappuccino and a nice meal out. I’m a hopeless foodie and always take pictures of my plate before I dig in.

I’m the kind of person who needs time to open up, but once I trust you, I’m warm, caring, and always looking out for the people around me. I believe in honesty, I smile a lot, and I love nothing more than genuine connection — whether that’s with my family, my animals, or the people I meet here. 🌻
